If you're looking for one of the most breathtaking day trips from Florence, this is the one we recommend the most.
The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its colorful seaside villages, dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear water, and spectacular coastal views. This experience is limited to a maximum of 25 guests, making it much more relaxed and enjoyable than standard large-group tours. You'll travel with an expert English-speaking tour leader and move between the villages by train and boat (weather permitting).
Manarola
Your first stop is the stunning village of Manarola, one of the oldest fishing villages in the Cinque Terre. Famous for its pastel-colored houses and panoramic viewpoints, it offers some of the most photographed views in all of Italy.
Vernazza
The second stop is Vernazza, considered by many the most charming village in the Cinque Terre. You'll have free time to explore the harbor, wander through the narrow streets, and enjoy the local atmosphere.
This is also the perfect place to experience Cinque Terre street food. You can choose your own lunch during your free time, or you can join the optional food experience, which includes:
- A cone of freshly fried seafood
- Two traditional focacce from the region
- A bottle of water
The street food experience can be added for €35 per person.
Monterosso
Monterosso is the largest village in the Cinque Terre and is famous for its beautiful sandy beach, seaside restaurants, and local specialties. During your free time you can relax by the sea, swim in the crystal-clear water, or try local pesto and lemon products.
Riomaggiore
The final stop is Riomaggiore, known for its colorful houses overlooking the natural harbor. It's the perfect place to end the day, with beautiful coastal views and unforgettable sunset colors reflecting on the water.
This is one of the few tours that allows you to visit all four iconic villages in a single day while traveling in a small group of maximum 25 participants.
The combination of boat and train transportation, free time in each village, and the optional Vernazza street food experience makes this tour feel much more authentic than a typical day trip.
